DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Vahid Sandoghdar\, Richard Taylor\, Cornelia Holler\
n\nSeptember 11-12\, 2025The symposium will review recent advances in the
precise and controlled administration of biological materials—such as vi
 ruses\, vesicles\, and pharmaceutical agents—to individual live cells\,
in a manner where the first moments of interaction between a cell and reag
ents located within the extracellular nanospace can be investigated\, henc
e the introduction of the term "Near-field Cell Biology". These developmen
ts are opening exciting pathways for exploring processes in cell biology t
hat are mediated by the plasma membrane and promise to contribute to the d
evelopment of personalized medicine and therapeutics. \nAn outstanding gro
up of invited speakers will elaborate on state-of-the-art methods for stud
ying the interactions of molecules and nanoparticles with cells as well as
discussing their significant implications for understanding basic cellula
r functions both in the healthy and disease conditions. The symposium aims
to foster a lively forum for exchanging ideas among pioneers\, thought le
aders\, and early adopters from both academia and industry. \nPoster sessi
ons and roundtable discussions will be held to identify pressing questions
in near-field cell biology and innovative approaches for addressing them.
\nSpace is limited\, so please register sooner than later!\nPlease find
the program here. The poster for upload is available here.\nPoster Printin
gThe participants must print their posters themselves. There are print/cop
y shops available in Erlangen\, for example:https://www.druckladen.de htt

any travel or accommodation grant to the participants.\n\nhttps://indico.m
