DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Clara Wanjura (Max Planck Institute for the Science
of Light)\, Florian Marquardt (Max Planck Institute for the Science of Lig
ht)\n\n \nThe second instalment of the workshop on Frontiers of Neuromorp
hic Computing is taking place at the Max Planck Institute for the Science
of Light in Erlangen 10-12 June 2026. We are looking forward to seeing you
there!\nRegistration will be possible from 22 January until 1 April.\nFor
details on accommodation in Erlangen\, please check the accommodation ta
b for details. We will reserve a limited contingent of rooms for participa
nts. For more information\, please check back in February.\nFrontiers of N
euromorphic Computing\nThe recent explosion of deep learning applications
imposes an urgent need for new energy-efficient alternative neuromorphic h
ardware concepts running at high speeds and relying on a high degree of pa
rallelism. In this workshop\, we will explore this rapidly developing area
of neuromorphic computing over a range of scalable platforms\, both on a
theoretical and experimental level. These platforms include systems in the
domains of optics\, integrated photonics\, spin systems\, semi- and super
conducting systems\, soft matter\, and others. In addition\, new physical
learning approaches will be discussed.\nPreliminary list of confirmed invi
 ted speakers\nDirk Englund (MIT)\nHui Cao (Yale)\nDemetri Psaltis (EPFL)\n
Natalia Berloff (Cambridge)\nRomain Fleury (EPFL)\nWolfram Pernice (Heidel
 berg)\nJulie Grollier (CNRF Thales)\nHakan Türeci (Princeton)\nMaxence Er
noult (Google DeepMind)\nSamuel Dillavou (UPenn)\nBirgit Stiller (Max Plan
ck Institute for the Science of Light)\nLogan Wright (Yale)\nMarc Serra Ga
rcia (AMOLF)\n...\nFormat\nThe in-person workshop will start on 10 June at
9 am and end on 12 June at approximately 5:30 pm. There will be invited t
alks\, contributed talks\, a poster session and a panel discussion. On Wed
nesday\, we will organise a conference dinner which is included in the reg
 istration fee.\n\nhttps://indico.mpl.mpg.de/event/27/
