DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Clara Wanjura (Max Planck Institute for the Science
of Light)\, Florian Marquardt (Max Planck Institute for the Science of Lig
ht)\n\nThe programme is now available online! Please check the programme t
ab for details.\nThe second instalment of the workshop on Frontiers of Neu
romorphic Computing is taking place at the Max Planck Institute for the Sc
ience of Light in Erlangen 10-12 June 2026. We are looking forward to seei
ng you there!\nRegistration will be possible from 22 January until 12 Apri
l.\nFor details on accommodation in Erlangen\, please check the accommoda
tion tab for details. We will reserve a limited contingent of rooms for pa
rticipants. For more information\, please check back in February.\nFrontie
rs of Neuromorphic Computing\nThe recent explosion of deep learning applic
ations imposes an urgent need for new energy-efficient alternative neuromo
rphic hardware concepts running at high speeds and relying on a high degre
e of parallelism. In this workshop\, we will explore this rapidly developi
ng area of neuromorphic computing over a range of scalable platforms\, bot
h on a theoretical and experimental level. These platforms include systems
in the domains of optics\, integrated photonics\, spin systems\, semi- an
d superconducting systems\, soft matter\, and others. In addition\, new ph
ysical learning approaches will be discussed.\nPreliminary list of confirm
 ed invited speakers\nDirk Englund (MIT)\nHui Cao (Yale)\nDemetri Psaltis (
 EPFL)\nNatalia Berloff (Cambridge)\nRomain Fleury (EPFL)\nWolfram Pernice
 (Heidelberg)\nJulie Grollier (CNRF Thales)\nHakan Türeci (Princeton)\nSam
uel Dillavou (UPenn)\nBirgit Stiller (Max Planck Institute for the Science
of Light)\nLogan Wright (Yale)\nMarc Serra Garcia (AMOLF)\nBenjamin Scell
ier (Rain AI)\nElena Goi (Friedrich Schiller University Jena)\nDanijela Ma
 rkovic (CNRS/Thales Lab)\nAlessandro Pasqui (MICS Lab\, CentraleSupélec\,
  Paris\, France)\n...\nFormat\nThe in-person workshop will start on 10 Jun
e at 9 am and end on 12 June at approximately 5:30 pm. There will be invit
ed talks\, contributed talks\, a poster session and a panel discussion. On
Wednesday\, we will organise a conference dinner which is included in the
registration fee.\nYou can find our previous workshop held in 2023 here.\
n \nThis workshop is jointly organised with the ELLIS Program 'Quantum an
 d Physics Based Machine Learning'.\n\n\nhttps://indico.mpl.mpg.de/event/27
