DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Clara Wanjura (Max Planck Institute for the Science
of Light)\, Florian Marquardt (Max Planck Institute for the Science of Lig
ht)\n\nThe second instalment of the workshop on Frontiers of Neuromorphic
Computing is taking place at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of L
ight in Erlangen 10-12 June 2026. We are looking forward to seeing you the
re!\nRegistration will be possible from 22 January until 12 April.\nFor de
tails on accommodation in Erlangen\, please check the accommodation tab f
or details. We will reserve a limited contingent of rooms for participants
. For more information\, please check back in February.\nFrontiers of Neur
omorphic Computing\nThe recent explosion of deep learning applications imp
oses an urgent need for new energy-efficient alternative neuromorphic hard
ware concepts running at high speeds and relying on a high degree of paral
lelism. In this workshop\, we will explore this rapidly developing area of
neuromorphic computing over a range of scalable platforms\, both on a the
oretical and experimental level. These platforms include systems in the do
mains of optics\, integrated photonics\, spin systems\, semi- and supercon
ducting systems\, soft matter\, and others. In addition\, new physical lea
rning approaches will be discussed.\nPreliminary list of confirmed invited
  speakers\nDirk Englund (MIT)\nHui Cao (Yale)\nDemetri Psaltis (EPFL)\nNat
alia Berloff (Cambridge)\nRomain Fleury (EPFL)\nWolfram Pernice (Heidelber
 g)\nJulie Grollier (CNRF Thales)\nHakan Türeci (Princeton)\nMaxence Ernou
lt (Google DeepMind)\nSamuel Dillavou (UPenn)\nBirgit Stiller (Max Planck
Institute for the Science of Light)\nLogan Wright (Yale)\nMarc Serra Garci
a (AMOLF)\nBenjamin Scellier (Rain AI)\nElena Goi (Friedrich Schiller Univ
 ersity Jena)\nDanijela Markovic (CNRS/Thales Lab)\n...\nFormat\nThe in-per
son workshop will start on 10 June at 9 am and end on 12 June at approxima
tely 5:30 pm. There will be invited talks\, contributed talks\, a poster s
ession and a panel discussion. On Wednesday\, we will organise a conferenc
e dinner which is included in the registration fee.\nYou can find our prev
ious workshop held in 2023 here.\n \nThis workshop is jointly organised w
ith the ELLIS Program 'Quantum and Physics Based Machine Learning'.\n\n\nh
